First of all, I care about others, always have. When I was younger, I watched as the people of my hometown lost everything when our main employer floundered amongst competition. I don’t like anyone having to face the reality that their pensions and retirement are gone.
I have dedicated my life to sharing my financial insight and expertise with others so that they can plan ways to live out a more secure future. As an investment advisor representative of a registered investment advisor, I abide by the fiduciary duty to always have my client’s best interest at the forefront of what I do every day.
First of all, we’ll talk and I’ll listen. I will learn from you what you want your money to do for you in the years to come. I will listen as you tell me about your concerns, your hopes, your goals and your expectations. In return, I will deliver honesty, integrity and clarity as we strategize a plan that is right for you. We will stay in touch with you on a regular basis and I will respond promptly to any questions or concerns you may have.
After we sign the necessary paperwork and have recent account statement copies in hand, the transfer process can begin. My team will contact your previous brokerage firm to initiate the transfers. Typically, most assets transfer in-kind within two weeks via the Automated Customer Account Transfer (ACAT) system. This allows broker dealers to enter, review, and settle transfers in a fully automated manner. Certain investments can take a bit longer or require additional paperwork.
We do not restrict our advice to limited types of products or investments, and always seek to provide the best fit of investments and investment management programs to your financial goals and risk tolerance. In certain cases, we may select a third-party manager to assist us with managing your account. If selected, they will charge you a fee, which will be described to you in their Form ADV and/or agreement. You may also incur charges imposed by the broker-dealer, custodian, trust company, bank and other financial institutions holding your accounts for certain investments and maintaining your account. Some investments, such as mutual funds, index funds, exchange traded funds, and variable annuities, charge additional fees that will reduce the value of your investments over time. In addition, you may have to pay fees such as “surrender charges” to sell variable annuities. Further details and information can be found in our Client Relationship Summary and our Firm Brochure (available online at https://adviserinfo.sec.gov/firm/summary/287859).
An ongoing quarterly fee based on the value of the investments in the account is deducted from the account. The more assets you have in your advisory account, the higher the fee amount (at a constant percentage of assets). We therefore have an incentive to increase the assets in your advisory account and receive more in fees.
